Chicago gets a little brighter, while gaining significant power savings
Recently, Westshore Design was awarded a major street lighting project for the City of Chicago. The project scope is to replace over 30,000 older high-pressure sodium street lights throughout the city with new advanced technologies using highly efficient and effective LED lights. Westshore Design will manufacture the LED light engine used inside a light pole’s globe fixture. The project will be completed over the next 4-5 years and when completed, is expected to save the City of Chicago a minimum of 50% on lighting energy costs.
